You will need a home testing device to measure your INR blood test. The CoaguChek XS made by Roche Diagnostics is a simple device designed to measure the INR on a drop of blood. It has been evaluated against standard laboratory tests and gives comparable results.

Each time you do a blood test you need to insert a PT test strip into the CoaguChek XS machine.

In order to carry out a test you will need to prick your finger and put a drop of blood onto the test strip. The CoaguChek XS comes with a device called the Sofclick to help you prick your finger.
