INR Online in Australia
INR Online is now available to all doctors in Australia. In collaboration with Roche diagnostics we are able to offer free access for 3 months. The combination of near–patient testing with the CoaguChek® XS or CoaguChek XS Plus and online support using INR Online is the ideal way to manage patients on warfarin.
We plan to offer access for patients self-testing in the near future.
Pharmacy Project in New Zealand
A NZ Pharmaceutical Society's community pharmacy Anti-coagulation Management Service pilot is underway with over 650 patients enrolled.
Thirty pharmacists from 15 pilot pharmacies across the country attended a training day on 5 November. Successful training and subsequent accreditation is the prerequisite for all pharmacists involved in providing the service through the pilot sites.
Health Workforce NZ approved funding for 50 patients at each site. These patients are monitored using point of care testing using Roche Diagnostics' CoaguChek® meters and INR Online.
The pilot is aligned with the Midland Clinical Network's EoI business case under health minister Tony Ryall’s “Better, Sooner, More Convenient Care”. The minister is reportedly keeping a close eye on the project due to its significance in integrating pharmacy services with wider primary healthcare.
